Optimize Energy

Market Optimization Services

We provide and execute optimization strategies in electricity markets

Day-ahead, intraday and balancing markets are where the value of an asset is won or lost every single day. We design the strategy and execute it alongside your market agent.

Who this is for

Renewable assets and batteries that sell into the market and want a better captured price without touching the asset.

  • Your asset sells day-ahead and nobody works the intraday sessions.
  • You pay more imbalance cost than you would like and cannot tell how much of it is avoidable.
  • You have a battery and someone has to choose between arbitrage and ancillary services every day.
  • Your market agent executes, but nobody defines or measures the strategy.

What we actually do

A renewable asset does not sell at the day-ahead price: it sells at the price it captures in each session, net of imbalances. Working those sessions is one of the few levers that lifts revenue without touching the asset.

01

Bidding strategy

Day-ahead strategy per asset and technology, revisited when the market changes.

02

Intraday and continuous

We work the intraday sessions and the continuous market, session by session.

03

Imbalance management

Control of the imbalance cost and of the decisions that generate it.

04

BESS co-optimization

How to split between arbitrage, ancillary services and battery dispatch.

05

Curtailment and negative prices

What to do in curtailment and negative price hours, agreed in advance.

How we work

Sessions, products and timings change from one country to the next; the strategy behind them does not. We replicate this across European markets, adapting it to the rules of each one.

01

Define

We set the optimization strategy for each asset and market.

02

Execute

We run it daily, alongside your market agent or trading desk.

03

Measure

Captured price and imbalance cost against a benchmark, and we adjust.

We look at your captured price

Send us a period of your production and settlements and we will tell you what the intraday markets left on the table.
